Information for all U6 to U8 Players and Parents
The soccer season starts with technical skills training sessions with the club's technical director, Doug Gordon and his staff. All the sessions are conducted at Riverway Sports Fields located on Nelson Avenue, between Marine Way and Marine Drive in South Burnaby. Access to the parking lot is off of Nelson Avenue.
Here is the training session schedule:
for all U8 players - Saturday,
starts September 11, 2010 from 9:00 am to 10:15 am

for all U7 players - Saturday, starts September 11,
2010 from 10:30 am to 11:15 am
for
all U6 players - Saturday, starts September 11 from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm
Sessions run every Saturday: September 11, 18, 25 and
October 2.

All players should check in at the Welcome Tent for field assignment on arrival.
There are
four training sessions in total: Saturday, Sept. 11; Saturday, Sept. 18, Saturday, Sept.
25, 2009, and Oct. 2 Players will be assigned to teams following the last training session.
On Saturday, October
16 , 2010, there will be a mini-soccer jamboree to kick off the soccer season
for the U6 to U8 teams. Each team will play one game and
then be treated to a hot dog, chips and a juice box.
All players should wear soccer cleats; wear shin guards; and have a water bottle.

Access to the parking lot is off of Sprott Street - behind the 8-Rinks complex.

20; and Monday, Sept. 27 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
for all U11 and U12 players - Monday, Sept. 13; Monday, Sept. 20; and Monday, Sept. 27 from 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm

GOALIE TRAINING SESSION (Open to All goalies U8 to U18)

Information on Training for Coaches
While the players are undergoing technical training sessions, coaches will be involved in their own training session led by technical director Doug Gordon. So remember to bring your soccer cleats to these sessions. In addition, coaching certification courses will be made available free of charge to all our coaches. More information on this at a later date.
