Welcome

Although the South Burnaby Metro Club has been dedicated to the youth of our community since 1952, our basketball program is only in its fifteenth year of operation. On most Saturday evenings, October to March, 650 of Burnaby's youth will be found at the Bonsor Community Center or the Burnaby South HS gyms playing basketball in a safe, friendly environment.

STM had earlier won the GW Graham tournament title in December defeating both Mission and GW Graham, the then top two ranked AA squads.

Boys House League Schedules

The boy's house league schedules for the second half of the season have now been posted. Players in the U11 boys division should pay special attention as there have been a few changes made to the schedules you received in October. The U13 division's upper & lower tiers have been restructured and the U13 Eagles select team added to the U15 division.

Telus Basketball Classic Champions

The South Burnaby Eagles won the U13 boys division of the Telus Basketball Classic this past weekend. The Eagles walked over their opposition with lopsided wins against the TCYBA Heat, 3D Elite and Drive Premier to qualify for the semi final cross over against the AthElite Academy team from Surrey. This game was much closer but SBMC came out on top with a 53 to 25 victory to set up a showdown with Drive Elite, the Club's main competition the past three seasons. The Championship game was the Eagles toughest match of the season with the boys having to come from behind at the half to prevail 55 to 39 for the title. Top scorers for the tournament were Curtis Laigo with 62 points over the five games, followed closely by Jovanic Castillo with 59 and Vince Sunga & Tyler Pearce with 34 each.

Nicole Eidsvik

The South Burnaby Metro Club basketball family is mourning the death of 17 year old Nicole Eidsvik. Nicole died Tuesday night (Nov 22) at Canuck House in Vancouver, surrounded by her loving family. Nicole began playing basketball with our Club as a toddler, following in the footsteps of her older sister Andrea. In 2007, as a 7th grader, she was a silver medalist at the BC U13 Club Championships and a year later also won a silver medal with the Fraser River Delta (Zone 4) team at the 2008 BC Summer Games. More important than all this is that she was a good and loving friend to many of us.

We are going to miss you Nicole.

Our deepest condolences go out to Phil, Lanette and Andrea at this very difficult time.

Although player registration has been suspended for the upcoming season, new coaches' children will automatically be added to the player rosters. The time requirement for the U11 & older divisions is an hour practice during the week in a local elementary school and the Saturday night games at either the Bonsor Community Center or Burnaby South Secondary School. Basketball BC U17 Girls - Silver Medalists at Nationals

Basketball BC's U17 Girls Provincial team led by former Burnaby Eagles, Alisha Roberts and Anmol (Rocky) Mattu, won the silver medal at the 2011 National Championships. Alisha, serving as BC's lead point guard had a spectacular tournament and was named as a first team all-star. She averaged 16 points and 4 assists per game. Rocky was added to the squad after helping Canada's U16 Cadet team to a third place finish at the FIBA Americas Championships. She made the most of her minutes backing up Alisha by chipping in over 9 points per game.

Denzel Laguerta, a member of the Eagles teams which won the U13 Club Championships back in 2006 & 2007, helped the BC U17 Boys to a third place finish at their National Tournament held in Toronto.

Basketball BC U15 Boys Red - Western Canada Summer Games Champions

The Burnaby Eagles were well represented on the Basketball BC U15 Boys Red team which won the Gold medal at the Western Canada Summer Games. Martin Bogajev, the tournament MVP, was BC's top scorer with 58 points over 4 games, including 26 in the championship finals. Djordje Obradovic was also named as a tournament all-star as he scored 51 points and led BC in rebounding with 9 boards per game. Although point guard JC Pineda saw only limited minutes due to an ankle injury, he still contributed with over 4 assists per game.

Western Canadian Invitational Tournament Results

South Burnaby entered two teams in this year's Western Invitational. The U12 Eagles competed in the U13 Silver Division while SBMC fielded a pickup squad to serve as a last minute replacement in the tournament's U13 Gold Division. The U12's went undefeated in pool play and lost a hard fought championship game 46-43 to the Athelite U13 Premier Team. The U13 Eagles started the tournament with only 6 players and ran out of gas in their opening game loss to the Athelite U13 Elite. They then went undefeated after bringing up five of the grade 6 players to do double duty for the weekend. Lambert Pajayon was nearly unstoppable scoring 111 points over 4 games.

We are pleased to announce that this summer we will be running a series of basketball camps in July at the Bonsor Community Center. The camps will be age specific with the boy's camps being led by Head Coaches, Randy Edwards & Michael Cheung, and the girl's camps led by Head Coach Norman Roberts with the assistance from several current/former CIS & Provincial team players. The cost is $100 and space will be limited.

Summer Camps

Alisha is one of the top girls high school players in BC but as a grade 11 will be the youngest player at the camp. Many of those competing for spots on the Junior National Team already have one year of University playing experience at either the NCAA or CIS level.

SBMC annually awards two $500 Basketball Scholarships. The Les Tarnowski Scholarship is given to any grade 12 student who participated for a minimum of 3 years in the Burnaby Eagles program and the Rod Thomson Scholarship which goes to a deserving member of the Burnaby South Senior Boys team. The award winners for 2011 are:

Anmol (Rocky) Mattu was named to the official roster for the Canadian Cadette Women's National team which will be participating at the 2011 FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Women from June 13 to 18 in Merida, Mexico. Canada will be shooting for a top three finish in the tournament to qualify for the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championships.

Anmol is the second Eagles alumni ever to be named as a Canadian National Team member and is following in Lexi Der's footsteps who played in the 2009 FIBA Americas U16 and 2010 U17 World Championship Tournaments. Rocky was a key member of the 2006 to 2008 Burnaby Eagles U13 select teams which finished second in the Province for three consecutive years. She has also served as an assistant coach in our girl's leadership program for several seasons. Way to go Rocky.

Eagles Alumni named "Female High School Athlete of the Year"

Lexie Der, was named the best female basketball player in BC for 2011 by Basketball BC. Lexie currently attends St Thomas More Collegiate and was a member of the 2010 National Cadet Women's team which played in the World Championships that were held in France. She has committed to playing for NCAA Div 1 Boise State beginning September 2011.

Lexie is a naturally gifted all round athlete who has excelled in many sports. Although she started with our basketball program in grade 4, it wasn't until grade 7 that she actually started to take the game more seriously. Lexie was already a metro calibre soccer player and had played on BC Provincial teams. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision to change sports but we are glad she did.

Basketball BC - U16 & U17 Provincial Teams

Congrats to the following former Burnaby Eagles for being named to the BC Provincial Teams for 2011:

U17 Boys Denzel Laguerta (STM)
U17 Girls Alisha Roberts (York House)
U16 Girls Anmol Mattu (Steveston/London)
U16 Girls Kamila Wojiechowski (STM)

2011 U13 Club Championships Results

Excellent job by Basketball BC's Jay Deo and Les Hamaguchi of Steveston/London High School and his group of volunteers. Great finish to the season by South Burnaby's U13 Eagles. First the Metro League championship, then the Canfor Cup title and finally the 2011 Club Championship crown. Drive had reloaded with three new players since the Metro League finals and definitely had to be considered the favourites going into the Provincial Tournament. The Eagles trailed by as many as 13 points in the Championship Game and didn't take their first lead until there was only 66 seconds remaining in the contest. They successfully defended their Division A championship title taking out Drive Elite 52-46, their 4th Championship in six seasons.

SBMC's U12 Eagles had evidently peaked too early with their 2nd place finish in the Metro League B Division finals. Their opening game at the Championships was an exciting 1 point loss to Drive B but then the wheels fell off and they lost by 12 points to an unknown Hornets team. South easily took care of Champlain Heights in their last game but it was a disappointing conclusion to a great season for the young team.

The U13 Allstars were a collection of the top grade 7's from the SBMC house league. They only had a short period of time to pull it together and had a great tournament in the Club Championships C Division. The Stars swept their first 4 games to qualify for the finals including a 52-49 victory over the Burnaby Balloholics. The draw was set up as a double knockout and the Balloholics made the most of their second chance with a 58-38 win to claim the title.

The U13 Girls went into the Club Championships sporting an undefeated 16 & 0 record against grade 7 competition. The first preliminary games went as expected with 45-20 and 67-42 victories over Athelites & Strathcona. The semi finals were against the Coquitlam Thunder. South Burnaby had not seen them before and lost unexpectantly 34-24. Although one of Burnaby's strongest players went down early in the game with an ankle injury, Coquitlam was clearly the better team that day. The girls won their final game to claim 3rd place in the Championships.

U17 West Coast Jazz

Randy Edwards has affiliated his new U17 travel team with SBMC and will be competing in six or seven tournaments this summer. Several of the players are former Burnaby Eagles and many were late cuts from Basketball BC's U17 Provincial Team. Randy has coached our U13 select teams for the past eight years as well as assisting at Burnaby South High School. We wish him success with the Jazz.

Metropolis Basketball Classic Results

The 2011 Metropolis Classic was significantly scaled back when compared to previous seasons and was run as a B level tournament. The reasons being that there were a lack of A calibre teams available and the Classic was scheduled the same weekend as the Senior Boys AAA Championships.

Tournament Results

Burnaby South Senior Boys - AAA Tournament Results

Burnaby South's roller coaster season ground to a halt with a 7th place finish at the 2011 Telus Senior Boys AAA Championships. This represented the Rebels best finish since 1979 but was also a disappointment after being ranked #1 for almost the whole season. South captured championships in 2 of the 3 most prestigious tournaments in BC, defeating RC Palmer 84-74 in the HSBC Classic in December and Kelowna 81-69 in the finals of the Western Canada Tournament in January. Their record on the season was 37 & 5. The graduating members of the squad won the Burnaby / New West banners all five seasons, the V & D Championships as bantams and juniors and placed 3rd at the Juvenile, 2nd at the Junior and 8th at the senior AAA Provincial Tournaments as grade 11's.

Burnaby South had developed a bad habit during the season of slow starts and the Provincial Championships were no different. The Rebels trailed by 14 at the half in their two losses to WJ Mouat and Pitt Meadows. They mounted furious comeback attempts and drew to within a few points in both games but were not able to close out the matches. Daniel Edwards was named as a 3rd team all-star, Ater Degal was top scorer with 83 points and Nick Irvine the top rebounder with 47 boards. The tournament results were:

Burnaby South 78 - Oak Bay 72
WJ Mouat 75 - Burnaby South 68
Burnaby South 76 - Kelowna 68
Pitt Meadows 70 - Burnaby South 66

Many of the members of this season's Burnaby South senior team got their start in basketball within the ranks of the Burnaby Eagles program while they were still in elementary school.

Lazar Cuk (Gr5-2004)
Ater Degal (Gr4-2003)
Mukhraj Dosanjh (Gr7-2006)
Daniel Edwards (Gr6-2005)
Nick Irvine (Gr6-2006)
JoJo Kibangula (Gr7-2006)
George Kovac (Gr4-2004)
Jok Malek (Gr5-2004)
Quentin Nguyen (Gr5-2005)
Thomas Schmidt (Gr4-2003)

The 2011 & 2012 graduation years probably represent the most talent SBMC ever fielded at the U13 level. The Eagles won 5 out of the 6 U13 Boys Club Championship divisions back in 2006 & 2007 and several of these players shared in multiple championships.

Anmol Mattu & Alisha Roberts - National Team Tryouts

Congratulations to former Eagles, Anmol (Rocky) Mattu and Alisha Roberts, for receiving invitations to attend the Cadet & Junior National Womens team tryouts. They would have been joined by current national team member Lexi Der if not for a season ending knee injury.

Alisha (Gr11) was recently named as the Tournament MVP at the 2011 AA Senior provincials while leading York House to the Championship title. Rocky (Gr10) is attending Steveston/London SS in Richmond and has been on the senior team since grade 8. Lexi (Gr12) attends STM and had signed a letter of intent with Boise State prior to her knee injury. She will most likely red shirt next season while undergoing rehab.

STM Senior Boys - AA Provincial Results

STM had an impressive start in their opening game of the AA Provincials, outscoring GW Graham of Chilliwack 45-21 in the second and third quarters to cruise to a 72-46 victory. The quarter finals were against Lambrick Park of Victoria. The Knights outscored Lambrick 18-8 in the opening quarter and never looked back posting a 76-65 upset over the number 1 seeded team. STM did come back to earth in the semis by losing 74-55 to South Okanagan, the eventual tournament champions. The consolation game for 3rd/4th place was another loss to Brentwood 55-48. Andrew Morris was the Knights top scorer with 69 points while Karstan Harder was named to the 2nd all-star team. Thirteen members of the team are former Burnaby Eagles.

Bantam Boys Provincial Results

The Burnaby Eagles were well represented at this years Bantam Boys Provincial Championships. Besides the eight Burnaby South Rebels, there were also another six current or former Eagles on the three other semi finalist teams. Burnaby South easily dispatched Queen Elizabeth 58-32 and SMU 45-23 to earn their final 4 berth. The semis were against Vancouver College which were clearly the top team in the tournament. College easily rolled over South 52-27. The consolation game for third place had the Rebels cruising to a 56-36 victory over Lord Tweedsmuir. Eagle allstars included:

Michael Almeida - Burnaby South - 1st team
Devyn Campbell - Burnaby South - 1st team
KJ Johnson - Lord Tweedsmuir - 1st team
Alex Hung - Killarney - 2nd team

Notre Dame - Bantam Girls Provincial Champions

With four of the five starters being members of last year's Eagles U13 Provincial Championship team, the Notre Dame Jugglers captured the 2011 Grade 8 Provincial Girls Championship this past weekend. Prominent roles were played by Brooke and Alix Gabriel, Jolene Robinson and Lauren Bondi.

The girls defeated Laurie Middle 48-21 and Point Grey 63-23 to reach the semi-finals against Abbotsford Traditional. With the Abbotsford team playing a 2-3 zone, the game became a defensive battle. Down five with 4 minutes left, the former Eagles turned it on. Alix Gabriel hit a 3 to cut the Abbotsford lead to one. Brooke Gabriel then had a steal with 24 seconds left and hit Lauren Bondi on the break. Fouled on a breakaway layup, Lauren coolly hit 2 free throws to put Notre Dame up by one. On the ensuing possession, Jolene Robinson blocked the Abbotsford jump shot, Lauren Bondi grabbed the loose ball, was fouled and the 37-35 victory was sealed.

In the Final against Monterey, the twins came out on fire. Brooke Gabriel scored the team's first 7 points (including the game's first 3). With the rest of the team struggling offensively, Alix Gabriel stepped up and added 4 points. The game went back and forth and with 6 minutes left, Notre Dame was down 4 points. Lauren Bondi then scored three 3's on three successive possessions. Brooke and Alix followed with some magic of their own: a perfectly executed pick and roll to extend the lead to 7 points. Monterey battled back in the last two minutes and closed the lead to 2 points; however, on successive possessions in the last minute, Jolene Robinson grabbed offensive rebounds and the team was able to run out the clock. Final score: 44-42.

Jolene Robinson was awarded a First Team All-Star and Lauren Bondi was recognized as the tournament MVP

In the end, the coaching that all four girls received over the past four years with the Burnaby Eagles really made a difference. It was very apparent that they were four of the most fundamentally sound players in the tournament.

Thank you to the Burnaby Eagles Basketball Club for preparing our athletes to compete effectively within the biggest stages of High School basketball in BC.

U13 Metro League Results

SBMC's U13 Select teams enjoyed another successful Metro League season. The girls team with three returning players from last season's Provincial Championship squad went 14 & 0 through league and playoff games to claim the title. They defeated Slamma Jamma 64-4, Athelites 47-24 and finally TCYBA 55-25 in playoff action.

The Boys A team were 9 & 3 in league games and finished in second place in the standings. The three losses came at the hands of Drive Elite. South picked up their game during the playoffs with 54-49 and 54-44 victories over Richmond and Athelites to qualify for the Championship game showdown against Drive. The Eagles led from start to finish in the finals and won their 4th title in six years.

The Boys B team were a collection of the Club's best grade 5 & 6 players and competed in the Metro League's Red or B Division. They finished a more than respectable 7 & 7 against the older and much larger teams. In the playoffs, SBMC caught fire and defeated South Delta 52-42 and Maple Ridge 46-43 in the first two rounds. The Championship game was against North Langley which had gone undefeated since dropping down from the A division. They were a talented team and put us back in our place with a 53-33 win. Still a 2nd place showing against grade 7 teams definitely exceeded our expectations.

BC Junior Boys Provincial Results

The Burnaby South Rebels finished at 2 & 2 to place 6th in the Junior Boys Provincial Tournament. There had been much debate on what the tournament seedings should look like and the first round had two unexpected upsets with #1 Kelowna falling 43-37 to #16 Ballenas and #3 Churchill losing 55-51 to #14 Penticton.

The Rebels had been seeded 7th but had to overcome a 9 point deficit in the last 1:43 against Claremont to pull off the 58-57 comeback victory. Djordje Obradovic scored 20 and Martin Bogajev hit two key 3's late in the game. The second round had South facing White Rock, the eventual tournament champions. We got behind early and ended up losing 70-50. The remaining consolation games were a 50-37 win over Penticton and a 67-63 loss to the 5th seeded Kitsilano Blue Demons. Martin Bogajev was recognized as Burnaby South's outstanding player during the tournament while Nick Garcha scored a tournament high, 26 points, in the loss to Kits.

Lower Mainland Senior Boys High School Playoffs

The #1 Provincially ranked Burnaby South Rebels were looking for their first Lower Mainland title since 1979. Unfortunately they came up short losing the Championship game 90-76 to arch rivals RC Palmer Griffins. Many of the players had competed against one another since grade 6 with their respective Club and School teams but had also been teammates at the BC Summer Games and on Basketball BC Provincial squads. The Rebels qualified for the finals with victories over the Point Grey Greyhounds 95-50 and Sir Charles Tupper Tigers 73-66. Ater Degal was selected as a first team all-star while Manroop Claire was named to the second team.

Burnaby / New West was also represented at the Lower Mainlands by the Byrne Creek Bulldogs and New Westminster Hyacks. SBMC alumni included Jerome Rosler, Glen Morgan, Paul Mallari, Marvin Edralin, Kenny George & David Majstorovic on the Bulldogs and Anthony Baker, Jordan Zeer, Hasrit Sidhu, Michael Heer & Will Matzhold on the Hyacks. Only Burnaby South will move onto the AAA Provincials as Byrne Creek finished 7th and New West tied for 9th place.

SBMC U13 & U15 Boys House League Champions

This season we divided the 12-team U13 division into upper and lower tiers for playoff purposes. The #2 seed, Nuggets, received a first round bye and then defeated the Cardinals 40-35 and the Grizzlies 37-34 for the group A championship. The group B title went to the Playmakers who went 3 & 0 with victories over the Vikings 53-29, Heat 47-37 and Sonics 45-33.

The U15 division had a 5-way tie for first place after completion of the regular season schedule. The top teams' playoff seedings were based on their head to head results. The Kings eliminated the Spartans 48-45 and Rebels 62-54 while the Stingers defeated the Lakers 55-40 and Suns 64-54 to qualify for the championship game. The finals were a hard fought match with the Kings prevailing 69-61 to capture the crown.

Notre Dame Jugglers - Bantam Girls Van Independent Champions

Four girls from last season's U13 SBMC Provincial Championship team will be going to the grade 8 Invitational Provincial Championship (March 10th to 12th) with their school team, the Notre Dame Jugglers. Lauren Bondi, Jolene Robinson, and Alix and Brooke Gabriel have represented the Club well by helping their grade 8 team to fashion 31 & 3 record and the LMISSA Championship.

Highlights this season include victories over Junior teams from Sutherland and Churchill and four tournament championships.

2010 U13 Girls Club Championship Results

South Burnaby's U13 Girls have captured their first Div A Provincial Championship since 1999. This comes after several years of near misses when SBMC finished in second place from 2006 to 2008. It also marks the second time that the Eagles have swept both the Boys & Girls titles in the same year. The girls made short work of 3D and TCYBA in the preliminary round but had to come from behind in the last seconds to defeat South Langley in the semi finals. Lauren Bondi played a major role in the comeback win, scoring 10 of her team high 12 points in the pivotal fourth quarter. The Championship Final was a four point game at the half but South Burnaby pulled away from 3D to win the title 44 to 27. The Club's girls metro league team competed in the Club Championships B Division where they finished in seventh place with a 1 & 2 record.

2010 U13 Boys Club Championship Results

For the third time in five seasons, the Burnaby Eagles have captured the Division A provincial title at the Steve Nash U13 Club Championship Tournament. This capped an undefeated 23 win season against Canadian competition and an overall record of 27 & 4 including tournament games against Washington State AAU teams. SBMC's other entries also had great tournaments. Although the Stars suffered a heart breaking last second loss in their semi final match to the RBL Ballers, the eventual B Division Champions, they did rebound to claim third place. The Hornets started slowly against North Langley but then found their stride with 2 wins and an overtime loss to finish sixth. The Raptors ended up playing 6 games and made it all the way to the C Division championship game.

2010 Burnaby/New West High School Team Results

Congratulations to the Burnaby South Rebels & Byrne Creek Bulldogs Senior Boys basketball teams for both qualifying for the AAA Championship. This is the first time since 1978 that two Burnaby public school teams have made it to the show in the same year. South went 3 & 2 to finish 8th while Byrne was 1 & 2, good enough for 11th place. Another record of sorts for Burnaby/New West was that Burnaby South boys teams also competed in the three other age classification Provincial Tournaments. The grade 8's lost in the Championship game to Vancouver College, the grade 9's played one game before withdrawing with 5 or 6 other schools due to the tournament not being properly sanctioned and the juniors finished in 8th place. The New Westminster and STM senior girls grabbed 7th place in the AAA's and 10th place at the AA's respectively. The New Westminster junior boys joined South in Victoria and finished 12th. The STM grade 8 girls finished 7th at Pitt Meadows. The following current or former Burnaby Eagles were on the teams:

Burnaby South Grade 8's (2nd place): Martin Bogajev, Marcus Cartagena, Kevin Fraser, Zlatan Jovanovic, Josh Lovendino, Ahmed Nizamani, Djordje Obradovic, Marko Pantic, Milos Savic, Taylor Smith & Brett Timewell.
Burnaby South Grade 9's (DNF): Shaun Burns, Alex Bott, Blake Hogg, Milos Lazic, Dejan Posavljak & Matt Shannik.

U13 & U15 House League Champions

This season's U13 playoffs had a touch of March madness to them in that there were two major upsets the first weekend of play. The Raptors and Tropics which had finished second and third in the standings were both dispatched in narrow losses to lower seeded teams. The Suns captured the U13 Championship with a 48 to 44 victory over the previously unbeaten Rebels. They had earlier defeated the Tropics 48 to 45 and Cavs 55 to 40 to qualify for the finals. The U15 Championship went to the Rockets with playoff wins over the Spartans 62 to 50, the Bruins 58 to 34 and finally the Warriors 50 to 37. Congratulations to all players and coaches for another successful season.

U13 Metro League Results

The U13 Selects completed another undefeated Metro League regular season but this year managed to win the playoff championship as well. The team completely dominated Drive in the first quarter of the final game, jumping out to a 32 to 6 lead and then cruising to a 67 to 51 victory. The SBMC Stars had a more difficult season, winning just two games after being promoted to the League's A Division. The U13 girl's team which competed in the Metro League was actually South Burnaby's B team and they had an excellent season going 6 & 6 before losing out in the first round of the playoffs.

V & D High School Champions

The Burnaby South Rebels won the Vancouver & District Junior Boys Championship for the second year in a row and will most likely be seeded in the top five for the Provincial Tournament. It is also a repeat for many of the players on the squad as they had won the 2009 Juvenile V & D title as grade 9's. Nine of the players are former Burnaby Eagles and acted as assistant coaches in our U11 boys division this season.

Ferndale (Dylan Crayton Memorial) Tournament

Only the U14 team participated in this year's tournament as the U11 & U13 Selects were scared off by the anticipated border traffic for the Olympic Games. The team had been selected as a Burnaby South grade 8 squad this season and this was the fourth and last American tournament prior to the Vancouver & District and Provincial High School Championships. The boys didn't disappoint as they had a great tournament finishing with a 3 & 1 record.

HSBC Basketball Classic

The Burnaby Eagles U13 girl's team went undefeated to capture the Elementary Division of the 10th Annual HSBC Basketball Classic. SBMC opened with a 78 to 8 blow out over False Creek and followed up with a 38 to 16 victory over RBL to qualify for the Championship Game. The finals were more competitive and the Eagles prevailed 48 to 36 over the 3D Elite for the title.

The Burnaby South Senior boy's team (10 former Burnaby Eagles) defeated Gleneagles 80 to 69 to take 3rd place in the High School Division. They had earlier posted wins over Port Moody 73 - 43, Tamanawis 82 - 71 and St Georges 77 - 66 before falling 66 - 55 in the semis to the White Rock Christian Academy, the eventual Tournament Champions. South's Ater Degal and Nick Irvine were selected as two of the ten tournament all-stars.
