The Selects featured 10 returning players from the 2009 SBMC rep teams plus 2 new additions from outside the Club. The boys went undefeated with 23 wins against Canadian competition and enjoyed an overall 27 & 4 record when including the two Washington State AAU tournaments they attended. The season culminated with South Burnaby's third U13 Div A Club Championship title in five years. They had earlier won the 2010 Metropolis Basketball Classic and U13 Metro League Championships.
The 2010 Selects may be the most disciplined U13 team that South Burnaby has fielded the past 14 seasons. The team had excellent ball handlers, several great long range shooters and a good inside game but really thrived with their transition play. Their 32 to 6 first quarter run against Drive in the Metro League championship game probably ranks as the most dominant opening game performance of any Select team. The team scoring was evenly distributed for the season with seven players averaging between 6 to 9 points per game.

After three second place finishes from 2006 to 2008, South Burnaby won the U13 Girls Div A Club Championship title for the first time since 1999. The team had opted out of the Metro League this season and instead played in the U15 SBMC House League against grade 8/9 girls and competed in several grade 8 school tournaments. They had an overall record of 29 & 4 and were undefeated against U13 squads. The five returning members from the 2009 Eagles provided a solid core to this year's team and provided the necessary leadership when required.

The 2010 Stars roster was comprised of half grade 6 / half grade 7 players and served as SBMC's development team in the U13 Metro League. The team had the misfortune of playing too well in the preseason exhibition and first Metro League games and were moved up to compete in the League's A Division. While the Stars struggled at this level with only 2 victories, they were allowed to compete as a grade 6 squad in three AAU tournaments and as a B level U13 team at the Metropolis and Club Championship tournaments where they posted a 15 & 7 record. The Stars were seeded number 2 at the Provincials and suffered a heart breaking last second loss in the semi finals to the RBL Ballers, the eventual B Division Club Champions. South Burnaby then recovered to beat Drive B 60 to 53 to take third place.

The Hornets were South Burnaby's house league all-star team and had just four weeks to prepare for the U13 Club Championships. Despite only having 3 or 4 practices under their belts the team did a great job of finishing at 3 & 2 at the Metropolis tournament. The two losses coming at the hands of teams which had played all season in the U13 Metro League A Division. The Hornets competed in the B Division at the Provincial Tournament but again had to face North Langley in their opening game and were quickly dispatched to the losers bracket. The boys played awesome the final three games picking up two victories and an overtime loss to finish in sixth place.

The Raptors were initially a last second replacement when a team unexpectantly dropped out of our Metropolis Classic. After the tournament the team was disbanded but were needed again a week and a half later when our Grade 6 team chose not to compete at the Club Championships. Despite having only a few practices and needing some new players the Raptors surprised everyone by finishing 2nd in the C Division of the Provincial Tournament. Devon Isaac with 78 points and Nick Holowko with 66 led the team in scoring.
