The 2005 Eagle Selects were actually comprised of 4 forwards and 7 guards and was one of the finest ball handling teams the Club has produced. Although the bulk of the scoring was done by the forwards, any one of the guards could run the offense and many were fine long range shooters. The boys had an excellent Metro League season going 9 and 3 to finish second overall in the standings. The 72 - 70 loss to the Best Tigers late in the season decided first place and was the team's best effort of the year against what could be considered one of the top BC U13 squads ever.

U13 Club Championship Recap
BEST and RBL, Champions of the 2003 and 2004 Provincial Tournaments, were again favored to capture the 2005 crown. Both teams were extremely tall with each having several players over 6 feet in height. The Eagles were quick and very disciplined but undersized in comparison and couldn't stay with either team in their 3 tournament losses. Steven Jacobs led the Selects in scoring with 60 points, followed by Michael Reganit with 46 and JR Morales with 37 points.

The 2005 Eagle All-Stars finished 2 and 2 in the preliminary round of the Metro League season and were relegated to the league's B division. Although the team could have challenged the placement, it was probably just as well as the best the All-Stars could do against the weaker teams was 3 and 3 to finish at 500 for the season.

U13 Club Championship Recap
After the Metro League season ended, the All-Stars were broken into two teams as the squad had been carrying 13 players in the developmental league. Six of the boys were moved to form the nucleus of the Club's C team while four new players were added primarily from the house league to improve the All-Stars size and outside shooting. The All-Stars competed in the Club Championships B Division and proved to be one of the surprises of the tournament. Other than a 67-39 blow out over the Best B team, all the matches were seesaw battles with SBMC usually having to come from behind to win the game. The title game was another such affair with Jimmy Ly stepping up to score 16 second half points to lead the All-Stars to the B Division's crown. Jag Dahia led the team in scoring with 68 points while John Aguilar and Jimmy Ly added another 62 and 50 points over the course of the tournament.

U13 Club Championship Recap
The 2005 Flyers were one of two SBMC entries in the tournaments "C" Division and were comprised of six players from the Club's Metro League B team and some of the more promising grade 5 & 6 players from the U13 house league. The boys went undefeated over 4 games to gain a berth in the finals against Seymour's B team. The Championship game was an exciting match with Seymour making 3 key free throws at the end of the game to win 56 to 53. Petar Zigic with 53 points led the Flyers in scoring, while Mico Dragutinovic and Dejan Stanic added another 42 and 35 respectively.
