U13 Club Championship Recap

The 1998 tournament featured 5 or 6 teams that had a legitimate shot at winning the Championship. The Eagles were coached by Leroy Moss and have to be considered one of the most talented U13 teams the Club has ever fielded. Unfortunately for the squad, Sanjaya Mendes, the team's starting center moved to Toronto mid tournament and missed the final two games. Tsawwassen jumped out to a commanding 18 - 4 lead in the finals and the closest South Burnaby could get in the second half was 6 points. Tsawwassen's center dominated the game with 33 points while the Eagles guard tandem, Levy Manuel and Jeff Ahmadi, answered with 23 and 10 points respectively.
